Inspired by a walk through the streets of Paris on my way to the Matisse exhibition, On the Way to Meet You captures the emotions of being in an unfamiliar place—excitement, nervous anticipation, and an unexpected sense of nostalgia. Layered geometric and organic forms echo fragments of streets, memories, and passing moments, while bold blues, soft pinks, and warm ochres evoke both distance and belonging. As part of my Shapes of Elsewhere series, this work reflects on the emotional landscapes we carry with us, where every journey becomes a meeting point between the places we've been and those still waiting to be discovered.
